when you look into a guys eye, your eyes dont settle- they would glance to the guys left/right eye to his right/ left. What could be one of the reasons behind it- has it happened to you before??

Everyone's eyes do that. It's instinctive to look from one eye to the other. It's actually unnatural to stare at them without switching. Your brain registers when you look people in one eye that you are not looking at them in the other, but because your eyes both look in the same direction you can't help but look at one at a time. It takes deliberate effort not to.

Hehe yah, its normal and natural to switch between the eyes. I myself am not normal and usually fake eye contact, or rather fake my interest in eye contact and just choose an eye to stare at.
Wonder how creepy does that make me seem and isn't that a sign of me being in some part a sociopath.
Anyway I guess the fellow-question-poser is on the same boat :D
