First of all, who told you Flash is needed to play YouTube and see photos.?

iPad plays video not only from YouTube but from hundreds of sites.

You can watch full length movies on Netflix, YouTube.com/ movies , iTunes and iphonemoviez.net

There are many more websites but these are tested by me.

You can watch all latest tv shows for Free through Abc Player, CBS.com,TV.com and many more.

You can even download movies to watch without Internet.

Flash is dead , all the new videos sites are coding their video content in HTML5.

And I am so happy that iPad doesn't support flash because I hate flash based pop ups and add banners.

Now I can watch movies without pop ups and any kind of disturbance thanks to iPad.

iPad will never support Flash and if it does I will sell my iPad.

    Source(s): I love my iPad.

iPad does not and will not support Java... there will be no Java runtime on the iPad. Also, the iPad will not run Flash. Apple and Adobe are actually trading blows since Apple announced that Flash was not good enough to be on the iPad.

Apple will never associate their products with flash. EVER. As Steve Jobs has said: "Flash is the number one reason Macs (and iPads, iPhones, and iPod Touch's) crash".

Apple is going with HTML5, an open standard that doesn't take up much CPU. As more and more websites turn to HTML5 to accommodate with the lack of flash for Apple's products, people will see that HTML5 is the future.

The iPad along with other iDevices has a YouTube app that you can use. Also there is a mobile version of youtube that works on the iPad.

Doubtful.. Flash is old technology that is designed for PCS, not touc-based devices. It has severe security and performance flaws. It is also not open sourced.

I really doubt it. This is because they are using HTML5, and they say it's better because of these reasons:

This pretty much says it's performance is better for their devices.

Maybe, they are battling with Adobe about it now.
