  • What could i use instead of Acrylic?

I am Building a computer case and plan to build the walls of the case from Acrylic sheets. however i am interested in what other materials could be used for this job. It must be thin (1-5mm), light weight but strong. Easy to cut and not to brittle, able to cut in laser cutter would be a bonuses.

  • What is a good price for a website?

I have started to create and design websites for people, i started with a few sites that i did for only a little money as i was getting used to it and using them to try out new skills etc.

A example of my work is here : http://www.fynnvalleyexplorers.org.uk/ its not completely done but it will give you a good idea of my work, so how much do you think i should charge for sites like this and how much i should charge for extra scripting etc?

  • Looking for 8GB of RAM for under £100?

I have been looking on ebay and have found 2GB 800MHz dd2 DIMM for about £26 a stick, ok it seems like pretty generic RAM nothing great but i will still beet my 3GB of 400MHz rubbish ^^.

So anyway does anyone know where i can get RAM cheaper than this it really needs to be 2GB sticks as i have 4 RAM slots and the motherboard can take up to 8GB, and i would like it to be running at 800MHz and if it was branded that would be even better, thank you all

  • A few questions on what you want from a computer case?

I am doing A Level Product Design and for my course will be creating a computer case. I need help with filling in my questionnaire so i have enough research to draw up my specification for the product, so please will you answer these questions for me. Thank you all so much :)

What amount of drive bays (5.25” and 3.5”) would you at least need in a case?

What is your preferred amount of fans and where do you think they should be located?

How would you like the case to open? (Hinged, slide of side, clip on etc.)

Would you be willing to pay a little more for the case to be tool less?

What size should the case be no bigger than? (W x H x D)

Should power supply be mounted at the top or bottom?

Should the case have a side window?

Would you like to see lighting in the case? If so what kind? (LED, cathode etc.)

Would you prefer a metal case over acrylic?

Do you have anything else you would like to say?

  • BIOS will not boot! help?

I was installing my new wireless LAN PCI card in my desktop and once the drivers had installed it ask me to shut down my system and plug in the new card. I did this but when i went to turn the machine back on the BIOS would not boot, it simply hangs on my GPU's BIOS which loads before the main BIOS. I have tried removing the new wireless card, using the jumpers to reset the bios, i have tried removing the bios battery and i have stripped the computer completely down and rebuilt to check for shorting however non of the above have worked my bios will still not load! The mother board is the Asus M3N-HT Deluxe mempipe which i only bought about two weeks ago. Can anyone help me?
