Anything else i should do before reinstalling windows 7?

Question

I have decided i really need to do a clean install of windows 7 as i did a upgrade from vista and it stopped my wifi from working. With a clean install this fixes the problem so its what im going to have to do. I am backing up all my user files right now and have made sure i have found all the disks and install files for my programs, but is there anything else i should do before i do a clean install?

Just make sure that any data that you have on the Computer is transferred to a external Hard drive or to a Flash drive/stick. Once you format, no turning back if you have forgotten any data. 

Apart from that, just format your Hard Drive and insert the Windows 7 disk and begin reinstalling Windows.

Drivers almost always are a problem with re-installs.
The compatibility issue between Vista & Win 7 drivers can be aggravating, but always err on the safe side.
Before making the leap, go to the makers website & look for all Win 7 specific drivers and get them moved to a CD (labeled of course).
Then, make back ups of all drivers on-board...just in case.
Try Driver Magician Lite (freeware);

Use it to identify & back up all drivers for this BU. Always keep it with your unit.

Hi,
"YES" you should always do a clean install, as for windows 7 sorry to tell you but i bet you have even more problems with your WLAN driver, so try to find one first for windows 7 as your Vista one will not work.

i am waiting till SP1 comes out for windows 7 in May 2010, so all th driver issues are sorted, maybe you should as well ???
