What do you think a computer case needs (more people the better please!)?

I am doing A Level Product Design and for my course will be creating a computer case. I need help with filling in my questionnaire so i have enough research to draw up my specification for the product, so please will you answer these questions for me. Thank you all so much :)

What amount of drive bays (5.25” and 3.5”) would you at least need in a case?

What is your preferred amount of fans and where do you think they should be located?

How would you like the case to open? (Hinged, slide of side, clip on etc.)

Would you be willing to pay a little more for the case to be tool less?

What size should the case be no bigger than? (W x H x D)

Should power supply be mounted at the top or bottom?

Should the case have a side window?

Would you like to see lighting in the case? If so what kind? (LED, cathode etc.)

Would you prefer a metal case over acrylic?

Do you have anything else you would like to say?

    2-4

What is your preferred amount of fans and where do you think they should be located?

1, 2 if the computer is high powered. At the back to let the air out.

    Hinged

Would you be willing to pay a little more for the case to be tool less?

    No

Im not good with mesurements. But the average size would be good.

In the front, have two 5 1/4 and two 3 1/2 inch bays. The 5 1/4 for burners and the 3 1/2 for smaller drives or a front mounted media card device.

I would have a spot for at least one fan in the front to pull in air, but make sure that it has a filter. If you want to make it really awesome, have the filter and fan come with the case, along with a setup to detect resistence from the fan to denote a clogged filter. Some sort of light could alert the user that the filter needs to be cleaned.

Having a case that can open without me having to find a screw driver or fight with those big fat screws is really a nice touch.

Pay more for toolless, not a good idea.

No real opinion on the size. Just as long as it can house all the standard size components.

Mount the power supply on the top. The bottom has too much dust.

    Side windows are awesome.

Have a kit addon that includes lighted fans and other lights.

    Acrylic crack and that sucks.

Make a case that has adjustable wire harnesses. Everyone hates cluttered wires. Have a plate that can be released to holds the montherboard, and the back panel (that piece that keeps the side of the motherboard that is exposed in the back somewhat sealed). Have two housings that house two hard drives each that are easy to remove. These housing should have small fans in the front. If the same would work with the 3 1/2 and 5 1/4 bays, again, that would be awesome.

I'd have at least two USB ports in the front, along with a Firefire port. Audio hookups in the front are nice too. But hide them.

I guess what it all comes down to is, a case that the components can be screwed into, and then snapped into place. Not having to fight with wires and tight spaces is what I would love.

EDIT: Kevin had a great idea. Have the front be able to literally flip, that way you can have the 5 1/4 and 3 1/2 bays at the bottom and the hard drive bays on the top, so if the user has the desktop on his desk or under his desk.
