What could i use instead of Acrylic?

I am Building a computer case and plan to build the walls of the case from Acrylic sheets. however i am interested in what other materials could be used for this job. It must be thin (1-5mm), light weight but strong. Easy to cut and not to brittle, able to cut in laser cutter would be a bonuses.

Carbon fibre sheets will do all you want, but are expensive.

    Else, use polycarbonate.

Aluminium is unlikely to be able to be cut by a low-power laser cutter, but is a great material.

    Gelcoat or bonding lexan/polycarbonate
