How do I get a scratch out of an Xbox game?
Apparently, my son's friend picked up the xbox while the game was still inside. It now has a deep scratch. Is there a way to fix it or should we just throw it away. It won't play.

If the scratch is so big, it won't play, then unfortunately, it's no good :( You see, a compact disk is actually already made of many microscopic rifts and trenches. These let a system (Computer, Xbox, etc.) read the disk. If there is a big scratch, it throws off the pattern on the disk, and even takes out a bunch of memory on the disk. You see, your disk is useless.
Sorry. Although, you can always send it back to the company that made it... if you want to go that far, and they will replace it. Not for free though.

You can take it to blockbuster or many other movie rental places, and they will fix the game for like 5 $
