Can I use brown sugar in a hummingbird feeder?

My wife and daughters outlawed white sugar at home. I used it mainly when preparing the liquid for a hummingbird feeder. I won't use artificial sugar for the birds, but how is brown sugar for hummingbirds?

I wouldn't do it because molasses isn't normally found in a humming bird's natural diet. Brown sugar is normally just white sugar with molasses added to it, at least mine is.

Sheila is nice. yet do no longer positioned money into C & H or any call sort. purchase the cheap stuff. it rather is each and all of the comparable. I even have 6 hummingbird feeders and elect to shade the water reckoning on the time of year. surprising now I even have one million/2 of them crimson and one million/2 of them green. as long using fact the feeder has crimson on it the birds will come . I prefer to shade it so i will see at a distance in the event that they feeder has water in it. basically ascertain that each and all of the sugar is desolved. have relaxing with it. satisfied birding!

no... not something that can be used.... the birds wouldn't go near it.... but the ants would.....if they outlawed white sugar, you'll have to go buy the nectar mix for hummingbird feeders.....
