is smokeless tobacco illegal?

a man i have known for maybe 2 weeks has been to our house quite often lately and when i went into the rom of where he was staying i found chew less tobacco

    I don't know of a country anywhere where it would be. In many workplaces some people that can no longer smoke on the job pick up chewing as an alternative. Until a few years ago, seeing baseball players chew on television was very common.

    It is however regarded as a very socially disgusting habit and is generally associated with the lowest classes of Caucasian Americans. Much more so than smoking.

    No. In the United States all tobacco products are legal for adults to use.

    That being said it is really stupid to use tobacco knowing all the risks associated with using it. I would ask him to either quit or not use it in the house if I were you.
