Where can I buy a new engine for a 1970 VW Beetle?

you can buy turnkey motors from several different internet sites. mid america motorworks has a few from 1600cc to 2275cc turnkey motors. http://www.mamotorworks.com/acvw-1-86.html this site involves shipping which i would not trust for turnkey motor.

if you buy a motor they might ask for a core longblock. if not keep yours and rebuild it. buy the bugme video series and you can learn to completely rebuild a motor. this way you will have a complete understanding of the engine so you can do repairs yourself and save tons of $$$$. they are really easy to build and you can do it for less than $1000 and its really fun
