Is it racist when the Left attacks Justice Clarence Thomas or only when the right attacks Obama's policies?

It seems to me like it's more racist to attack Justice Thomas since typically the Left goes after him as a person (how many times have they called him stupid or ignorant?), whereas Obama's policies are attacked and rarely himself personally...

Liberals are hypocrites and believe it is okay for liberals to have double standards .....@onlooker MY God do you people EVER own up to your own bad behavior and stupid remarks. On this site and in the media everytime someone has the audacity to disagree with your almighty obummer they are called a racist. That is a fact. Someone doesn't agree with same sex marriage, racist, someone who thinks illegal aliens are criminals, racist, someone calls a terrorist a terrorist, racist

It is racist for the left to attack Justice Thomas, but it is allowed because they are "the left". During Thomas' confirmation hearings Ted Kennedy attacked Justice Thomas as not being "black enough", he also attacked Justice Thomas about the Anita Hill accusations, these were never confirmed, if there were any substance to them Justice Thomas would not have been confirmed and appointed to the Supreme Court. And it is really ironic for Ted Kennedy to be the one "standing up for Anita Hill", since he has such a clean record when it comes to his dealings with women. The left is given a pass all the time when it comes to the issue of race. When Bush nominated Miguel Estrada for the Court the left, along with the NAACP, Leadership Conference for Civil rights, and other left-leaning groups attacked Miguel Estrada simply because he was Latino, they were not going to let Bush appoint the first Latino to the Bench. And did I mention that he was Latino. They also said that he did not have a very long paper trail. It is ironic that when Obama nominated Sotamayor for the Court, that anyone that questioned her statement about her being able to make a better judgment being a Latino woman than a white male, you were a racist. What would have been the uproar if the opposite had been said from a white nominee? They would have been run out of Washington and been called racist, which is what it would be. Sotamayor is a racist and a sexist, but it is alright because she has the support of the left. Al Sharpton and Bill Clinton were allowed to say that Obama wasn't "black enough" or "didn't have slave blood", that wasn't racist, they are on the left, it is given a pass. It is always the Democrats and the left are always talking about race, but they aren't racist. The conservatives are always talking about people, no mention of race, just people, btu they are called racist.

First, you're wrong about not attacking Obama personally. There have been multiple personal attacks ever since the campaign started. Does the term "community organizer" ring a bell? Which is probably why you ask this question. Since you feel that conservative attacks on the president are all calm and reasoned attacks having nothing to do with him as a person, you cannot imagine that the left would do the same thing to any other black.

Find me some attacks by liberals on Clarence Thomas involving fried chicken, watermelon, monkeys, etc., and then we'll talk, since all of those things have been used by conservatives. That's racist. Leftist attacks on Clarence Thomas that are about his judicial stance are not racist.

criticism of policies is not racist. Comments of any kind directed at someone based on their race is racist....for example when the left is calling a black conservative a oreo and a traitor to his race.

No one calls the right racist for attacking Obama's policies, but the right is racist when it holds up racist caricatures of Obama at Tea Bag rallies, when it uses the n-word, when it accuses Obama of not being born here, when it tries to define Obama's policies as foreign (e.g.,socialist), when it tries to make Obama less than an American.

Your attempt to use distortion to deflect the truth is a good example of right-wing dishonesty.

The left-wing does not pander to people of color like the right-wing does with people like Thomas and Steele.

Be honest; who exactly do you think is creating all the racist avatars here and what do you think their political affiliation is?

The weight of reality is against you. Liberals do not hold up racist signs, create racist avatars, or engage in race baiting, these tactics have their roots in fascism and conservatism.

The left attacked Thomas as an "Uncle Tom" because he's a black conservative. They couldn't debate him on issues though. Race card dealt from the bottom of the deck as usual.

the left attack Thomas cause he is a terrible judge who rarely casts a vote, he just lets Scalia decide for him

Beck Called Obama a racist as soon as he got in office, and its been downhill ever since
