insulin brings your blood sugar down when it is high enough to take an insulin shot.glucagon brings your blood sugar up when it gets so low that you begin having seizures and effects like that.

Both glucagon and insulin are hormones that regulate blood glucose levels, but they have the opposite effect. Glucagon slows glucose metabolism by cells, and insulin speeds the rate of metabolism up. Hope this helped! :D
