Ways to say "farewell" in Irish?

I'd like to know the most accurate equivalency of the English word "farewell" that there is in Irish. I.e. what would one say when taking leave of an Irish-speaking person with whom he is very close, but may never see again.

I would also be interested in any way of saying goodbye in Old Irish. Please state your sources if giving Old Irish.
