Have them exposed now do you drive them back in and chisel and pean them in or remove and get new or what? If I tap them back in will they leak or how do you seal them in? As long as they are exposed why not replace them? Driving them back in might just make them leak even more. Drive a punch into the middle and pry them out. Clean the mating surfaces well, coat the block surface and the lip of the new freeze plug with Permatex or other good gasket sealer, then drive them in and peen the middle of each one to ensure a positive seal. My apologies if you already knew how to replace the plugs.

there are diverse applications for various length engines, many times freeze plugs are placed at each and every end of the block and below the place the heads flow... additionally, out of interest, why do you decide directly to appreciate that , you do not do something to the freeze plugs to winterize a boat?... run the engine with the ear muffs around the out-power and place the hose right into a bottle of coolant, whilst it fairly is going on have a guy or woman status over the engine with the flame arrestor off, on the waiting with a can/bottle of ask your self secret Oil or Tranny fluid, as quickly because of the fact the coolant comes out the release, have that guy or woman pour the ask your self or Tranny fluid slowly into the carb till it chokes the motor out.. that's it, disconnect the ears, eliminate the battery cables from the batteries and close her up... keep in mind that when you flow to start up it up next season, it is going to smoke slightly while it starts off, do not challenge, it has to burn off what you poured into it to winterize it... It additionally could not harm to attach a pipe wrench to the front of the engine and turn the engine by potential of hand barely sufficient to flow the pistons from their previous place, try this as quickly as a month.

I would agree that you should replace them.
