Alternating showers are hell, but they work wonders. Start out with the water nice and steamy for 3min, then switch it to as cold as you can handle for 3min, then 2min hot, 2min cold, 1min hot, 1min cold, then get out. I have no idea why this works, but it's popular on bodybuilding forums because, well, it does work lol. You can also try a glutamine supplement. This helps some people, not every body, though.

Longer sleep does help, because the body has longer to repair. I personally find supplementing my heavier workouts with an easily absorbed carb ( orange juice or gatorade are great) helps immensely, and I can get more out of my workout because it takes the muscles longer to fatigue when you supply them with a constant source of energy.

On a side note, you really shouldn't be working the same muscle group without at least a 24hr rest period in between. Those muscles can't get stronger if you don't allow them to repair themselves between beatings lol.

Hope this helps, good luck! =)

The more often you work out safely the less of a chance your body will get sore after your work out because it will get use to working out. But for now just work the soreness out before you exercise.

Put some lotion on. It will help a little. As for the rest... your muscels are just figited.. you can still work out.. just not to the measure were they start feeling sore again.
