Pretty much the same thing happened to me. It turns out that after a few years of having an irregular period, which can sometimes be caused by starting your cycle early, that your body can skip a month to regulate and your cycle can completely change. What is happening to you sounds normal, especially if you are stressed out. Just try to relax and wait another week or so and then talk to your doctor. I think that will make you feel better and the doctor could even put you on the pill to regulate your period and help with cramps if you have them! Good luck with everything!

Hey hon I started my period when i turned 14 or so. i have been so irregular i used to get 2 a year. i talked to my mom about it when i realized what was going on (or rather not going on), she told me that my grandmother had the same issue, she was perfectly fine, i have been fine too. I havent had a single doctor tell me anything bad about it. In fact most the women doctors who hear me say i get it every 3-4 months now tell me they wish they had my "problem". you can get it checked just in case but dont sweat it too much until you have reason to.

some women never have regular periods. i'm 26 and my periods never regulated. some months i'd have a 20 day cycle, other it would be 30 or more. stress can definitely delay a period so i wouldn't worry.
