Hello to all the Moms and Moms-to-be, How's it going?

Hi there, Hope your evening is going well. I'm happy but a bit nervous right now and so just trying to see the positives. My Hubby and I have been trying for over a year and had a couple miscarriages, but today after my period was over a week late, I decided to take a test and it was positive.

I am over joyed, but also extremely nervous that I will miscarry again. So in trying to keep my spirits up I thought I'd ask some general prego questions of you all.

How many Children do you want/ have?

When are you due?

Are/did you finding out the gender or waiting?

Did you use any "wives tales" to predict/guess gender? were they correct?

What names are you thinking about?

Any food cravings?

Are you scared about anything in particular in regards to pregnancy/labor?

Thanks, I know it's long, but I just need to hear some good news, so that I don't let the nerves get to me. Thanks and Good Luck.

Oh and my answers would be

Lots, I love big families

If everything goes well January 15

We aren't sure if we are going to find out or not

So far I've only used the Chinese Chart and it says Girl

John Vincent and Mabel Lynne

Barbecue chips on waffles

miscarriage

Hellooo!!!! What a great question for us pregnant mummies!

It is really sad isn't it... 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage... everywhere I look, someone is going through it (my aunty miscarried a week ago too). It is really scary & causes worry for everyone pregnant I think... whether it is unneccassary or not. I really hope everything goes well for you this time!! I know how it feels to worry like crazy... I never have so much until I was pregnant! Have faith - It will happen!!!!

How many Children do you want/ have?

I am pregnant with my 1st baby, and hubby & I have seemed to agree on "2", but I have always said that I wouldn't mind 4.. hehe.. we'll see about that one :P

    When are you due?

I am due early November. I am 15 weeks pregnant.

Are/did you finding out the gender or waiting?

I was actually one of those REALLY lucky ones that found out on my 13 week scan! It's a BOY!!! And he certainly wasn't shy :P hehe. We wanted to find out from the beginning because I feel it enables me to bond with my unborn baby better & also we like to be organised (re: nursery, clothes colours etc).

Did you use any "wives tales" to predict/guess gender? were they correct?

Yes I had a bit of fun with the old wives tales thing & chinese calendar predictor thingy. I was just SO eager & impatient to find out... but I didn't take it to heart with those methods, obviously. They actually did predict correctly most of the time... but I wouldn't count on it. Oh, and I also did "Intelligender" at home kit & it was actually correct! So I would use that one again. Fun fun!

What names are you thinking about?

We had already known what name for a girl - Cerena Rose. But boy names have always been the hardest. I loved Justin for so long, but hubby & I have seemed to agree on Damian, so it's looking likely! But I am still keeping my options open.

    Any food cravings?

It always changes for me! I do get overwelming food cravings at least every week or so... they have ranged from chicken burgers to sushi! Never really sweets though.

Are you scared about anything in particular in regards to pregnancy/labor?

YES! And I have never worried more. I am definately scared about things like miscarriage/ stillbirth - and general worries about the baby's health. I am also worried about what labour will be like, as I want to aim for natural birth, but have no idea what to expect, and just really hope baby & I can get through all of this healthy.

  • How many Children do you want/ have? Pregnant with first, we want 3-4 kids

When are you due? November 11

Are/did you finding out the gender or waiting? Probably not finding out

Did you use any "wives tales" to predict/guess gender? were they correct? Haven't really used anything, and I don't really have feelings either way yet

What names are you thinking about? Brennan for a boy, and I like Sabrina for a girl but not sure if hubby likes it

Any food cravings? Taco Bell nachos! :)

I'm not really scared about labor right now. I am a little worried about something being wrong with the baby, or having a late miscarriage

I hope it turns out well for you! Congrats!

How many Children do you want/ have? I want 2. This one is a boy and I want the next to be a girl if it is a boy I may try a third time , maybe...

    When are you due? 8/8/10

Are/did you finding out the gender or waiting? Its a boy!

Did you use any "wives tales" to predict/guess gender? were they correct? I looked up every gender prediction website and looked it up in books and magazines and ALL of them said it was a girl. So no it didn't work.

What names are you thinking about? Elijah and Jude for this one and if i have a girl one day maybe Madelyn.

    Any food cravings? Gummy worms

Are you scared about anything in particular in regards to pregnancy/labor? oh many things, still birth, me dying during labor, or a birth defect, typical motherly worries.

First of all I wish you the best of luck!

I have one daughter, pregnant with #2...if it is a boy I am likely done always only wanted one of each

    Due December 18

Definitely wanting to find out the gender (hoping for a boy)

Used all the old wives tales I could with our first, I'd say 50% were right LOL

No names in mind yet, at least none we both agree on ;)

As far as cravings go, mine change but mostly been salty or spicy...spicy has been bad though, been giving me heartburn

Mostly just scared about labor and a few months after as my husband is in the Air Force and will be deployed Nov-April

I am trying for my second baby, my hubby and i miscarried last year. Im also worried so ive been spending all my free time doing things to keep all stress gone. I am mostly online researching how to stay healthy as much as possible and crocheting baby blankets or booties and other such things.

this will be our last one if we have it. i have a 3 yr with my ex and he might have a baby with someone else so thats all we need.

if i am right now pregnant i will be due sometime in december i believe.

We are so finding out the gender. i never understood the whole not wanting to know thing bc you cant buy clothes or decorate much if you dont know and i am going all out with this one.

i use the chinese calendar, and the string over the tummy trick. which i have yet to do... hmmm

as for name i dont know yet bc that always takes me forever.

cravings for applesauce (but end up over the toilet shortly after), chips and dip, lots of water (which i never ever drink unless absolutely need to), fruits and veggies of all kinds.

i'm worried if i loose it. everything else i can handle, or so im tricking myself into thinking bc last one was hard so hoping will be easy this time.

I have two children 8yr old girl and a 15month old boy, I found out what I was having both times, No I didn't use any wise tales. My daughters name is Kamarah and my sons name is Paul Jr. I craves pizza with both of them. I was scared of having to have a natural baby. With my daughter I had the epidural and I was in labor with her for 12 1/2 hours and with my son I had to have him natural because when I woke up that morning to go get things for my daughters birthday party I was fine until I got to the store and then I started having contractions and when I got to the hospital I was already dilated to 7cm and 30 minutes after I got there I had him. I had a miscarriage when I was 18 yrs old and that was scary for me, but when I found out that I was pregnant again I just thanked god and prayed everyday that I will have a healthy baby. Believe me when I say leave it in Gods hands and everything will be alright

We want four. We have a son and one on the way. It depends on the economy on whether we ever get to our magical number, though.

    September 16th

    It's a GIRL! I'm really excited, I'll have one of each. :)

Yes, I did. The ring test was correct. The cravings list was correct. How I was carrying was correct. Chinese calendar, dead wrong. Heart rate myth, dead wrong.

    Sylvia Jade

Strawberries. I've been going through a carton of them every two days. It's almost an obsession.

I'm scared of doing it alone this time, and something going wrong. My husband is being deployed.

Congratulations to you! Sending you lots of sticky baby dust!
