i think you have to read the books in their proper order to truly appreciate them. perhaps that's why the first answer didn't enjoy it. you wouldn't have really have an understanding for what was happening or why. phantome is the second to last book out of a 12 book series. no wonder you didn't like it.
i bought all my books from boarders. boarders or barns and nobles is going to be your best bet. if they don't have them there, they can order them for you. but be sure to read the series in the proper order.
the prequel, debt of bones was written before the final three novels, in the main 11 book series, but you can read that at any time. i chose to read it after i finished the last book, confessor. here is the order:
Prequel: Debt of Bones
Main Books in the Series:
wizard's first rule
stone of tears
blood of the fold
temple of the winds
soul of the fire
faith of the fallen
the pillars of creation
naked empire
the last 3 books are a trilogy that brings the main story arch to a close
chainfire
phantom
confessor
after you read those, there is another book goodkind wrote called the law of nines. it's related to the sword of truth series, but takes place in our world in modern times. it's very good. but i would not read that until you finish the other books first so you can see how it relates to the original series.
terry is also coming out with a new richard and kahlan novel that has yet to be titled in early 2011. the info was just released on terry goodkind's official website about a month ago with a short teaser trailer. i can't wait.
anyway there you have it. the books were about 8 bucks a pop for me for the paperbacks. i think they also offer small bundled box sets where you can buy 3 books at a time that might save you some money instead of buying them individually.
best of luck to you. prepare to be addicted for the next couple months.

You can probably find them at nearly any library or half-price book store, let alone Barnes & Nobles and Borders. (Though *why* you'd want to read "Phantom" beyond perverse curiosity is beyond me... That was the only Terry Good kind I read and didn't exactly make me want to track down the earlier books in the series.)
