Why is it important to know if a service is for an obstetric or nonobstetic patient?

Trying to think of what to say. All I can think of is HELP, please!

    There are different procedures, medications, risks, etc. for obstetric (pregnant) patients because health care workers are taking care of two patients when treating them - the mother and the baby.
