Is money the real reason why AZ Governor Jan Brewer signed Immigration Bill SB1070?

The group that benefits the most out of this Immigration bill would be Tennessee based Private prison operator Corrections Corporation of America, and they are the same ones that contributed $980 for the governor's start-up fund with Arizona's clean elections system. A warden for one of CCA's Arizona prisons gave $100. A CCA shareholder gave $140. So could this be the "real" reason why she signed the bill?

Who benefits from a broken immigration system - Part II

Private prison operator Corrections Corporation of America and its lobbyists reap huge profits from our broken immigration system and use their power and money to make sure it stays broken - and profitable...for them.

We know who loses with our current broken immigration system - workers who face depressed wages, families, immigrants, local communities and taxpayers but the real question is who benefits from the keeping the status quo?

Jan Brewer's CCA Money and Her Possible Conflict of Interest Over SB 1070

Several months before signing SB 1070, Governor Jan Brewer accepted hundreds of dollars in "seed money" for her clean elections campaign from corporate executives and others with a possible stake in Arizona's "papers please" legislation becoming law.

In all, seven executives with the Tennessee-based private prisons giant Corrections Corporation of America contributed $980 for the governor's start-up fund with Arizona's clean elections system. A warden for one of CCA's Arizona prisons gave $100. A CCA shareholder gave $140.

Lobbyists listed with the state of Arizona as having CCA as a client gave another $560, for a total of $1,780. In addition, CCA has contributed a whopping $10,000 to the campaign for Prop 100, the one cent sales tax heavily promoted by Brewer, which is up for approval by voters today. The success of Prop 100 is considered by many to be the linchpin for a Brewer victory in November.

Are you serious, they have told me you try to pull bogus excuses for the illegals, but even I would never think someone would stoop to this level, even on a site like this. SEIU is a radical group who started harassing and violence at the last protest the criminal illegals had. So what, she accepted hundreds of dollars. What about the funds Obama accepted for his campaign, from groups like Acorn and the racist La raza. More prisons to hold more illegal criminals. And as a newcomer on here, Even I have been warned about all your alias. She signed the bill because the American people of her state want illegals dealt with, what is so hard for you illegals to accept this.

they have to put criminals somewhere. What did you expect her to do? put them up at the Hilton. Things are not done for free. It's not just something that pops out of the air somewhere. It's going to take man power and housing. Tennessee is far enough away to discourage visitors who will bring in cell phones weapons and drugs to the drug traffickers incarcerated..I think I'll get a job in TN for awhile.

Yes, money is part of the problem.

Try when you do your taxes next time to find a way to make the claim of 20 million illegal dependents.

Who do you think foots the bill for the liabilities of society?

Source(s): Those private institutions? There payed with US TAXDOLLARS, not monopoly $$$$$

No. She signed the bill because the Federal Government has abandoned it's duty to protect American boarders.

I don't care. All politicians are in it for the money somewhat. I DO care about protecting this nation financially and it's security. Hey why don't we open the borders of your state completely and let all the illegal immigrants go there...whoever and whenever, unchecked.

Tony, it's a Republican state, so don't be surprised with this type of scam going on behind closed doors.

She wanted the money, that's all.

"Private prison operator Corrections Corporation of America and its lobbyists reap huge profits from our broken immigration system and use their power and money to make sure it stays broken - and profitable...for them."

So, she is trying to fix the problem.

    ???

Your question makes no sense, which is understandable since you got it from SEIU.
