I don't think Egypt's economy is anything like Greece's or Europe's. Like most poor countries, Egypt is experiencing an economic growth rate that would be the envy of any Western country (over 5%), and this growth was only moderately slowed by the recession. Conversely, the recession shrunk the economies of many Western countries (e.g. Russia, -10%, America, -2.5%) and now it is a good year when a Western country can report no shrinkage or slight growth (less than 1%). The EU is dishing out so much money for economic rescue programs that there's almost none left, and the money only buys time instead of a solution to the core problems.
Living decently is hard and expensive in Egypt, but this is because of the way economic growth is distributed, it only benefits the wealthy. Whilst over time it became much more evenly distributed in Greece. Hopefully this will happen naturally in Egypt, it's a process.

Greeks work hard. Greece's average working hours, are the 2nd higher in the world after South Korea.
The problem in Greece happened after the wrong handling of money from resources.
Too many money paid for military, too many money used from politicians from personal use, too many fraud taxpayers.
Greeks react because they have to pay for money that the 300 (the parliament) ate .
Don't consider the GDP/c with the needs as the same.
Greeks might make 32100$, but they have higher living expenses than Egyptians.Electricity, food, rents, are all more expensive
