Is it normal for birds to be twirping at 2 AM?

I'm posting this at 2 AM with birds twirping outside. I thought birds only did this during the day. Are these birds ill? Or is this normal?

they twirp any time of the day and night....they dont sleep like us(8hrs flat).......they usually flock together on a tree but they start twirping if they feel the threat from a predator or if they r disturbed.....mostly one starts and the rest follow them....these birds r always alert...any slightest disturbance in thier livin environment they start to defend by twirping!!...its quite common!

It's normal, is there a street light lit out there? That sets the little dears off.
