Oil spilled in Gulf of Mexico will end up in Florida due to the loop of the current in the ocean

Water currents in the ocean have names, and there is one called the "loop current." It is a very warm current in the southeastern portion of the Gulf of Mexico, and it carries water toward the Florida Straits and eventually out into the Atlantic. The worry is that Gulf oil will end up along the Atlantic seaboard.
