i m sorry i m a little confused, how can we tell the difference between tightening and being constipated?

i was very shy to ask this that ppl might think me very ignored but i want to ask for myself.like i said that i m 36 weeks pregnant and for the last many days i feel that my belly is very tight and it hurts to move.then again after sometime i have the same condition.now i have the same tight stomach in the daytime as well.how can i tell if these are the BH or constipation.i go to toilet regularly though.

also in the tightening and in the contractions ,how long they stay i mean for how much time you feel the hard, tight stomach and then it loose.

thankyou.

constipation does not make your stomach as hard as a baseball you only feel that internally. You are having contractions if your stomach tightens into a hard ball. It feels nothing like constipation. As far as how long they go it depends they can go anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, but don't last very long unless you are in real labor.
