Does focus sash work when you use substitute in Pokemon?

If I had a focus sash equipped to one of my pokemon and I used substitute, will the focus sash still prevent OHKOs after the substitute is broken?

    No. Focus Sash only works when your Pokemon is at 100% HP, and Substitute uses 25% of your HP, so just by using Substitute, you've broken your own Focus Sash.

    I don't see why it wouldn't work. So yea, im pretty sure it would keep you from getting one hit KO'ed.
