Balinlough castle (Clonmellon,Co. Meath) taxi?

I'll be traveling from Donegal to Ballinlough Castle. I don't have my own transport, so I was thinking along the lines of traveling with Bus Eireann to either Clonmellon, Athboy or Kells. Would that be my best option? Or are there any buses that go by the castle? I'm really not familiar with Meath.

From these towns, I think my only choice is to get a taxi.

Can anyone recommend taxi firms that would run in this area? I've looked online and got a few numbers, but I'm a bit unsure about them and would like to know about taxi's people have used before.

Thanks

has details about driving there. From what was described, the nearest town seems to be Athboy, and it is just over 4 miles away. Bus Eireann does travel to Athboy, route 111.

I see from the timetable that there is just one stop at Clonmellon in each direction, but many stops listed are Request stops, and you'd likely be able to request to stop in Clonmellon too, even if the stop is not scheduled, among the five buses en route to Delvin. There are nine other buses going daily from Dublin to Athboy and no further.

It looks like the roundabout route having to go from Donegal to Dublin, and then take another bus from Dublin to Athboy. But if you plan to travel in the next few days, Bus Eireann have an offer bringing you to Dublin from Letterkenny for €2
