Are the days of 'genuine' tag teams well and truly numbered?

Let's face it now, tag team division is filled with makeshift teams and no genuine tag team is coming through but The Hart Dynasty, a genuine tag team, are Tag Team Champions so is there just a little glimpse of hope for genuine tag teams?

In other promotions, true tag teams are still around.

However, WWE hasn't particularly cared about the tag team division for a while now. It's not as marketable as singles competition, so they hardly pay any attention to it. Hart Dynasty is a true tag team, but we know what WWE generally does with tag teams. One will eventually betray the other and start a feud between the two. This has happened to nearly every tag team WWE has had. The Hart Dynasty will eventually break up with one of them betraying the other, therefore, starting a feud with one another. I really don't think that there's any hope for the WWE in the tag team division. If they recruited some tag teams from the Indy scene, it would be possible to revive it.

With Cryme Tyme out, Hart Dynasty is the only real tag team left. Aside from them, we're left with make-shift tag teams, who will eventually separate from one another. In my opinion, there's no hope for the tag team division.

This is more so in the WWE. WWE doesn't care about actual tag teams and giving actual tag teams a push. They don't even push the tag team division itself. All they do is put together two singles wrestlers, and put the tag belts on them. This is the case with The Miz and Big Show, Jerishow, Rated RKO, DX and any other makeshift tag team there is or has been. Morrison and Truth haven't been getting the singles push they once were, so they put them together in a tag team. They might last together for a couple of months before they break up and go into singles action again. They might just keep them together for a short while and a 2 month Tag team title reign. Other companies, like ROH, and like TNA has at one point, push tag teams. Teams that have been together for a long time and have great chemistry and actually tag wrestle together. They don't just combine two singles wrestlers and put tag belts on them. WWE doesn't care about tag team wrestling, so they've basically killed it and just have make shift tag teams for when they don't have anything for certain singles wrestlers. It's a shame because it's a good way to make a name out of some younger talent.

Well in Wwe there really isn't a Tag Team division to begin with that's why

before they had Wwe Tag Team Champions on Raw and Smackdown both

pair of the belts were separated on each brand. Now, they are just pairing

up top singles competitors to be partnered up with each other and making

them compete for the "Unified" tag team championships. Eddie Guerrero

(Rest in Peace) and Rey Mysterio, MNM, Paul London and Brian Kendrick,

John Morrison and The Miz, Carlito and Primo, Cryme Tyme all of those in

Wwe were former great genuine tag teams. TNA Wrestling AMW America's

Most Wanted Cowboy James Storm and Wildcat Chris Harris and Triple X

Christopher Daniels, Prime Time Elix Skipper and Kaval or Senshi or Lowki,

The Naturals Chase Stevens and Andy Douglas those were some great tag

team genuine teams in the TNA. Right now honestly I think the best genuine

tag team with the best moves and talent in all of professional wrestling is The

Briscoe Brothers Jay and Mark Briscoe from Ring of Honor, they had a tryout

match with the Wwe last year and didn't get signed they could save that weak

tag team division in World Wrestling Entertainment no there still is some hope.

The Hardy Boyz need to get reunited I think that's the best tag team from all of

the Wwf Attitude Era Jeff Hardy has been called the next HBK Shawn Michaels.
