Can a person hold citizenship of multiple countries at same time?

For example - If you are an Indian by birth and hold Green card in US... Are you still a Indian citizen or NRI? If NRI, what rights you don't have anymore in your home country?

Indian citizens cannot hold dual citizenship but holding a US green card does not affect your Indian citizenship.
