Annoying Phone calls?

They piss me off too. What my mother does is tell them to hold on, then she sets the phone by the tv and lets them listen to that without ever picking the phone back up.

Another thing my mother loves to do is make a fart noise with her mouth to them, then hang up.

My mom's quite a character for a 54 year old woman lol.

That hold on game is great fun. For extra fun, but it takes more time, is you can actually time the holding and declare a winner :-)

I love it when they as for "the owner of the business" and I say yes, please hold. I guess the real phrase is put on "ignore" then I just sit back and wait for the line to drop.

Did I mention I hate telemarketers?

Register your number to DO NOT CALL list. Most companies have these do not call list and they filter the numbers through these lists.

Blow a whistle down the phone (actually buy a whistle like those used in soccer games)

I tell them to "hang on" I must answer the door, then leave them hanging on until they realise what has happened and hang up. Great fun

you could go ex-directory? means your number cant be gotten hold of unless you give it ou as it wont be in the local phonebook

I tell them I don't have a credit card or a cheque account.

Works every time.
