What do you think of this Stoner comment after the MotoGP race today?

I was watching his interview with motogp.com and they asked him why Nicky has not had the same problems as he is having. He said that Nicky is not doing as fast lap times as he is so therefore as he pushes the bike at higher speeds he experiences these issues. He said when Nicky starts to push the higher speeds he will probably experience the same issues.

He was in a slow corner when he crashed. I think he is talking crap and trying to make excuses. Whats your views?

Update:

I have been reading a few other things and I really think it sounds like Casey is kinda blaming Nicky. He talks about slower riders causing him to crash, Nicky was the slower rider in front of him. He also talks about Nicky not getting the same fast times so therefore not experiencing the problems.

He really seems to try and put the guy down don't you think? or is it just me?

You right, he is talking BS.

He said to Matt Roberts (c/o BBC & MotoGP.com) that he was NOT pushing hard when he crashed. He said when in testing, he could make the bike 'Any shape' he wanted, but in race form, ala Qatar, he crashed whilst pushing it.

The biggest deal I think here is the "Im getting sick of this" statement.

Well he might as well go to the HRC gift shop and sign his 2011 contract with 'their' own ink now. That is (along with walking out on your team for 3 races) the quickest way to pish off your crew cheif and Meccy's.

Well done Casey, thanks for coming. Or should we start calling him 'Fast Freddie 2' ?

I must have been watching another race....

It looked to me as if he was on his own and lost the rear.

    A cold tyre accident.

as for being fast - I agree with that.

At Qatar he was almost 2 seconds a lap quicker (in the race ! )

here he was definitely catching the leaders and was probably the quickest on track at the time.

I still think he knows how quick he is, and how quick the bike is. he is just too impatient and goes too early before everything is settled in.

In his defence, you have to think all these guys are running on the edge. a fine line between on and off. the cautious inevitably dont usually win.

I think his statement may be taken out of context. he may just be pointing out he "is" going quicker and therefore pushing the envelope that bit more.

I never really take after race interviews seriously. there is still too much adrenaline flowing for real reactions.

I just hope he gets it together again quickly and makes the Yamaha boys fight for the wins.

I also hope Nicky keeps getting better too.

Edit.. from the MotoGP website. Casey's comment :-

"I went through that corner and lost the front about halfway through it, and it’s not really a corner where you are pushing.”

Show's I was watching another race.

I saw him lose the rear... ?

Edit 2.... Comment from Nicky .... Best view right behind Stoner

A I mean, I seen it right ... it was right in front of me. I seen the front - well, yeah, I seen the front go a little, and then I seen his left foot come off. I was right there. I know it always looks like slow motion, but seemed like forever. The front was gone, and he was on his elbow, and he was trying to save it, and I couldn't open the throttle because he was staying on line. And I was thinking, "I'm about to, the guys behind me are about ..." It seemed like a long time. I don't know. But anyway, I was waiting to open the throttle, and he just ... when I passed him, he was still had it on his knee. That was it. I seen him, I'm not sure what. Lost the front.

I need to watch it again. im certain the back comes round.

[ There's' trouble at mill' in bologna i think, that is affecting the No 1 riders, in the Superbike garage and the MotoGp garage..

Nori Haga can't ride like he did last season, for fear of falling off,Casey Stoner can't ride like he did last season, for actually falling off..

With Ducati not winning anything last season, and losing team managers in both garages, it looks like the focus as changed within the factory, with the pressure falling on the men on track...<^><..
