How do I remove dll error from computer at start up?

Question

I had a trojan pop up and Windows Security Essentials removed it but now, on every start up I get a small box that pops up saying can't find " khgfdc.dll " Research told me it is a trojan but if its not running the trojan, how do I remove the pathway that tries to open it in the first place?

click your start button choose run- if in windows 7 or VISTAthat will be under programs accessories .
type msconfig then select selective start up and look for the exe or dll that is associated with your Trojan un check box and click ok. . I would also advise and download hijack this and run it

cheers dude, i had this prob about 3 days ago, have since fixed it, and have given this link to loadsa people as well......its nice to see others given sound advice as well, its also possible to fix by removing the sound drivers then reinstalling them from the realtek website...
