how to make hair dye last longer?
So basically, I dyed my hair burgandy.
I dyed it from platinum blonde, if thats any importance xD
but anyways, the color faded out within two weeks.
i re-dyed it a couple times using different brands and such.
ALL of the dyes are permanate [not temperary or semi]
but the color keeps fading out to a HORRIBLY ugly brownish pink color.
Is there anything that can help the color last longer?
lmk!
I already usse shampoo's and conditioners for colro treated hair.
and i also use things to block the sun.
D: thats why im not sure WHY the hair dye is fading. Ive honestly NEVER had a color fade on me before.

Yes, you can if you are willing to invest in a color restoring shampoo. Pantene makes a shade for redheads and there are some other brands that have color restoring shampoo.
Avoid shampooing your hair everyday, and try and wash your hair once a week. I know it sounds *bad* but if you are able to use a dry shampoo that you can brush in, in the meantime you will save your haircolor and keep your hair fresh. Washing once a week will over time save your hair color and it will also make your hair produce less oils.
Another trick is to avoid the sun, because UV rays are notorious for stripping colored hair.
Also, consider is that red is the hardest color to keep, so it has to be re-done more often than any other haircolor. It is because the molecules for red hair dye are very large and they do not settle into the pores of your hair shaft as easily as other colors do.

Brew any type of plain (nonflavored) coffee and let it cool off, pour it over your dry hair until it is soaked, and comb through. Cover your hair with a plastic shower cap and let it set for 20 to 30 mins. Rinse and shampoo, then rinse with cold water.
this really helps intensify the color and shine of darker hair

well burgandy has red in it and red is the fastest to fade. you should get a shampoo for color treated hair and don't wash it a lot. wash when you need too. and when you don't wash it but feel that it's oily use powder shampoo. there's different brands. here is a site witha list of different brands. http://thebeautybrains.com/2009/03/24/have-you-eve...
i hope this helps.

You probably need a protein filler. Bleach blond has trouble holding color, so purchase a protein filler from Sally's and it'll help hold the color.

use shampoo/conditioner only for color treated hair. Find a leave in conditioner or something like that with UV protection that acts as sunscreen for your hair; just don't spray sunscreen in it, it just makes it greasy. The sun is what is most likely causing it.

Use color protection hair products.
