Why does World Superbike have two races a day and Motogp only has one ?

World Superbikes have two races and Moto gp only has one.

Update:

How come the riders of the moto gp class only race once and the world superbike race twice each race weekend

In a way, both championships have 3. WSB has 2 main races & the WSS support race.

MotoGP has the GP class, the new (and rather fantastic) Moto2 & the 125 race. Along with the Red Bull Rookies & sometimes the CEV title races, then you could say the MotoGP weekend has 5 races, sometimes more.

Does MotoGP really need another race? World Superbikes have two races as their bikes are completely different to GP bikes (WSBK's are based on production bikes and GP bikes are prototypes). Also the qualfying for WSBK's is completely different too. I think it works for WSBK as it keeps the interest and battling going in the sport where as MotoGP has enough media and fan interest.
