Sure, like about ten thousand computers later you might have a couple of dollars in some gold content. It is so minute and you would not have the equipment to process it or extract it for any value. The gold content is normally on adapter cards and some IC Curcits may have a little bit. Woudl you be able to determine if it is Brass, Bronze or actually gold. Not every computer would have gold content.

Yes, gold is used inside computers for its conductivity (meaning electricity travels really fast through gold), but it's used in really tiny amounts. If you can collect enough (old) computers/laptops you can bring them to specialised companies who will extract the gold and keep around 90% of it as a pay. In other words, you can find more gold with a metaldetector on the beach.

go for it the laptop is worth more than the possible amount of gold thats in it but sure rip it apart and put it on youtube and become an internet viral and shout wheres the gold

Yes there is but unless you have the facilities to remove it, its not worth the time. Companies who retrieve the gold have very expensive equipment to do this.

yes. they're part of certain components. But it's not much and really small. You'll probably never find it :).
