On the equinoxes, is the sun out for the same amount of time everywhere?

On the vernal or autumnal equinox, does Quebec get the same amount of sunlight as Argentina? Does the date of the equinox vary by region?

Yes, on the equinoxes, the sun is above the horizon for 12 hours everywhere on Earth. Also, the sun will rise due east and set due west anywhere on Earth during the equinoxes.

However, due to the fact that the equinoxes occur at an instant in time, the length of day for all places is not exactly 12 hours, but off by just a few minutes. This is because the sun's declination is rapidly changing during the equinoxes. This also means that sunrise and sunset will not be precisely east and west, but off by up to a degree.

What it means is that the daylight time is equal to night time. And, yes, it's the same everywhere.
