Why is Obama piddling in Washington while the deep south is poisoned with oil slicks?

The south is more conservative than other areas, he won't do a thing.

The President lives and works in Washington. People complained because Bush was never there. Obama is a conscientious person. He has people checking every aspect of the oil spill and does not have to stay in the Gulf and watch over the operation. That is ridiculous. He is supposed to stay in Washington and make decisions from there. He is in touch with people all around the world at any moment.

I am a liberal democrat and i am disappointed with Obama's lack of action concerning the oil spill.

I believe that he is holding back because he recently endorsed off shore drilling and dose not want to seem like one who chontradicts himself. but sideing with off shore drilling in the first place was a mistake. this kind of stupid action is what will get the best pres we have had in years kicked in 2012.
