Safina...now what is the excuse?

Puh lease...now tell me she isn't over rated! Been saying this for 2 years....she had one good season, and despite injuries, is steadily falling...now to a 39 year old ( Gooooo Date Krumm!! ), and on her fav surface.....while I personally dont reaslly like Safina, especially when she was "#1" and felt she should be...and THAT was a gift, being Henin retired, Cjlisters retired, and Williams Sisters were injured....# 1 players dont lose as she has, and the way she continues to....thing is, do u see her rebounding anytime soon? Especially with Wimbledon and US on the way??

Update:

..and bad back or not, then shouldn't play...other players come back from injuries and excel...she always struggles..and not just with her head, but her whole game...she is top 15 at best.

she wont be doing anything great at the upcoming majors and she definitely wont be #1 again.

like you said all those top players you mentioned were out when she got to #1.

also jankovic, sharapova, ivanovic and others were out of sorts.

she was never the rightful #1 and now this has been proven.

Well,I've never liked her really..I don't like any players who screech.

Although I like Sharapova and Azarenka, but that's only for because they're good sports especially Azarenka.

So coming back,yeah..She never deserved to be no.1 or something and the fuss she made coz of that court issue,US Open I think?

Well whatever it is,good someone put her in place.

    And yeah,go Henin!Hope she wins:)

    Too bad Kim isn't playing.

Well that's what happens when 40-year-old player face a 24-year-old with a bad back :-p

If she recovers, i think we;ll see big things from Safina in US open. Not Wimbledon, though. Too soon.

i also heavely agree with you.. and i felt that way from 1.5 half ago!

all the things u are saying are true!!

the only rebound safina can hope for is making it to WEEK 2 of the up coming grand slams.. and she really needs to work on her mental aspect

as she does not have it at all...

but her winning a slam or being in a final.. very unlikely!

She should play on the Rebound Ace surface.

Dont see her rebounding. She was No.1 and never won a slam.

    Ivanovic FTW.
