Why does Obama advocate the same tired ideas that have failed every time they've been tried in world history?

    Such as?

I notice that cons keep promoting trickle down economics even though it has proven a failure over and over.

Do you even have a brain? And, can you think for yourself? Or do you just repeat what you heard - either on conservative talk-radio or TV?

Your question is obviously a repeated mantra! Especially since you failed to provide details on just what ideas you're referring to, so that someone could sincerely answer your question.

    WHAT "TIRED IDEAS"????????

In the mean time, I'll give YOU some tired ideas conservatives keep using that historically don't work:

Attempts toward allowing corporate monopolies, when historically, monopolies create barriers to competition and totally exploit their monopoly status.

"Trickle-down" or supply-side economics, which claims that if we allow the rich to get richer through excessively low taxation, they might let the middle-class and poor have some of it by spending or investing some. (How naive and laughable!)

Deregulation of big business - believing that if not overseen by government, they'll be competent and do the "right thing." Exhibit 1: British Petroleum (BP) with their incompetence in running an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico.

Teach abstinence, believing teenagers won't have sex, thereby risking unwanted pregnancy and other problems. This has never, never worked!

"Free market" economics - believing that if left alone, the free market will solve all problems with minimal human misery. Then why have we had such disastrous economic bubbles, such as the tech-stock and the real estate bubbles?

These are all conservative ideas that fail repeatedly. The history is unmistakable! Yet, every generation brings a new breed of naive, useful idiots that believe without checking history that these ideas work.

Which bill or bills are you referring to? There is no pending legislation that resembles anything you speak of, nor has anyone expressed interest in drafting such a bill.

Why are you so upset about something that isn't even happening?

Kind of like conservatives who want to keep trying the same thing even though it fails every time?

Trickle down. It failed during Reagan, it failed during Bush I, and it failed during Bush II.

When will conservatives learn that giving tax breaks to the rich only hurts our country?

Obama hasn't recommended trickle-down economics and deregulation - thank goodness.

You learn about the future from history.......nearly all of the history buffs I know are conservatives. He hasn't learned because he doesn't know that certain things (like printing more money) have ended in disaster.

They refuse to believe that their dehumanizing theories don't work. They make excuses that if they just have the right people in charge, if they just have the right amount of money, etc. adnauseum. excuses. Socialism/Marxism and Communism DO NOT WORK.
