Is English Lavender invasive? I live in South Florida, should I plant it in the sun or shade?

Please give me a good website to learn more about it. TIA

It's not invasive but it is from a Mediterranean climate so it might no be so easy. (too much humidity) Make sure that they have good drainage. They are susceptible to fungal diseases that love humid weather. Give 'em sun. Mine thrive in direct sunlight, little irrigation and temps up to 110 F.

Here's a great invasive page with pictures from the University of Florida. http://plants.ifas.ufl.edu/guide/invplant.html
