electronic gadgetry on tv?

Hi have you ever wondered how much Hollywood majic is added to those CSI type TV shows . i mean all those computer graphics that come up instantly and video feed that can tell what type of screw a car has from a red light camera or scan a bar code from a crappy old box with a walmart hand scanner and find the company ,detination ,stock ,driver and so on in a matter of a few seconds?? or search the fingerprint registry for a match in under 2.5 seconds? what makes all this possable it may well be those new Chinese Hungarian computer chips put into russian lap tops that the PD~s have. just a funny question so please be lighthearted in answering.
