Will hurricanes bring oil inland and deposit it on roofs etc., creating health and fire hazards?

Why is this being called a "potential" disaster? Isn't it already a disaster? Can hurricanes coat the gulf coast in oil? With hurricane season starting this week (I think?) shouldn't we be preparing for that possibility, instead of worrying about who to blame? BP already acknowledged that it's their mess- what can be done to help mitigate the damage and potential damage if my theory about hurricanes is correct?

the hurricanes always call hell with oil - now that they have drilled over 3,000 (that we know about) you can expect abandoned wells as well as the BP spill to come on land.

america has proven itself completely morally/financially bankrupt - there is no reason in the world for anyone to either protect or respect us.

the new terrorism is domestic oil.
