A question in Judaism (only for Jews)?

What will happen to Jews who are unaffiliated to any type of denomination? Some of them even question the existence of G-D, some don't even visit synagogue.

I want to know this eloquently about a final redemption and a world that will be driven by G-d and spirituality in the quest for divine knowledge rather than material pursuits. I want to know what will happen to most of the Jews today{of this generation) who are near totally non-observant and not committed to any mitzvahs or any of the Torah laws, what will happen to them if Moshiach were to come tonight?

'G-d will have mercy' is a simple answer I can expect but I need a good answer

I am a ger toshav in a learning process to become a ger tzaddek. I am just concerned what will occur if after becoming a Jew what would occur to me if due to any reasons or unforeseen consequences I fail in keeping the mitzvohs of the Torah as well as many natural jewish people.

Todah Rabah in Advance

Update:

Seriously I am not a Hebrew scholar(just a beginner) so stop accusing of any odds & try to correct & understand yourself.

answer: there are many views because the afterlife isn't described in Judaism. Most Jews don't focus on the afterlife, they let G-d worry about that. Jews focus on the here-and-now: keeping G-d's commandments, studying Torah, caring for others and helping to repair the world.

Some Jews believe that when someone dies and they are righteous, they go to join G-d immediately. If they aren't righteous they spend a short time away from G-d.

Some Jews believe that we enter a sleep-like state until the Messiah/Messianic age and then join in the new world to come.

Some Jews believe in reincarnation until the Messiah/Messianic age or until one becomes righteous enough to join G-d.

I don't think a lack of affiliation is a particularly major issue. And we don't generally pay all that much attention to stuff about the afterlife or the coming of Moshiach either. In short, although we hold that Jews will be held to a higher standard, our general sense is that all who have lead a righteous life (that doesn't mean 'perfect') will have a place in the world to come.

If you are in the conversion process, why don't you ask your rabbi? S/he will have much more in-depth knowledge concerning these issues than most of us on here.

EDIt: Cor blimey, some people here must be just hovering over their keyboards to thumbs stuff down within seconds of its appearing!!

EDIT 2: Re-reading your question, I'm a bit worried about the word 'redemption'. Just what are you talking about? The concept does exist in Judaism, but is very different from the Christian version and I'm wondering if that's what you're referring to when you speak about 'final redemption'...

When Moshiach comes, one of the prophecies is that Universal Knowledge of God will cover the earth like the oceans.

This will awaken in them the desire to return to the God of Israel and His mitzvot, and I can only believe that all of the Jews will do so.

However, there are writings by our sages that say that some Jews who are born into Jewish families actually have Gentile souls. And that these will go where they belong at that time and become Rightous Gentiles, worshipping the God of Israel side by side with the Jews.

Just as it is known that there are Gentiles born into Gentile families but actually they have a Jewish soul, and these people will almost always convert to Judaism at some point in their lives.

When Moshiach comes, he will be able to "smell" who is a Jew and who isn't, and he will sort everyone accordingly.

I've heard it said that in those days there will be a mechanic in Omaha Nebraska (for instance) who has never met a Jew, doesnt know a thing about Judaism, and suddenly Moshiach will awaken in him his Jewish soul and he will know that he is a Jew, get up and walk away from his job and make his way to Israel.

So in the end, Moshiach will sort out who is a Jew and who isnt, and who is a Righteous Gentile and who is unrepentantly against the God of Israel within both the Gentile and Jewish populations. And God will deal with each accordingly.

If you fail to keep the mitzvot at some time during your journey, all you need to do is tshuvah, pick yourself up, and go back at it.

Mazel Tov on your journey and I wish you all success! Take your time, assimilate at your own speed so that its ingrained within you and becomes first nature for you, and you cannot even remember living any other way. You'll do fine!

    Something's odd about that.

I'm not Jewish I know you said you only wanted Jews to answer, but I have I think a simple answer for your question. What is happening with people and with the world is suppose to be happening, that is why He is some day coming back, to save us before we destroy ourselves.

The people living on this planet, are acting and behaving worse and worse just the way it was written.
