Me from India. With life oscillating b/w which path to choose in the options Religion and Non-religion, God and no God, Belief in non-existent. It was to hard to pick a particular path. But as a human I have no choice but to choose one sooner or later. With of lot thinking and reading into at-least a few religions. I have come to a conclusion that most religions except a few(like Buddhism, Jainism, reconstructed Polytheism of Europe) are just plain BS. Y am I so concerned about religion? catch up nxt week. Religion is still my favorite section in YA. As I am running my own business selling servicing electronics/tech/Computers/Hardware/Gaming/X-Box etc. I will surely to contribute something in that section of YA to the needy.

  • Why not send a space craft to refuel the voyager 1?

Why can't the NASA send a probe in the exact direction of voyager 1 to refuel it with plutonium and increase it's life span. I think it's worth it, since this space craft has served beyond it's expectorations that it definitely deserves a new lease of life(extension of it's battery and other abilities beyond 2050.

  • Why did Israel return Sinai?

Many will say that Israel returned Sinai to Egypt as a peace gesture and thats what we generally read in books and magazines. But it is not so simple. Can anyone enlighten me as to why after conquering such a vast piece of land Israel returned it to Egypt.

    Israeli made sacrifices of

    * The homes of over 7,000 Israelis

    * The Alma Oil Field, valued at over $100 billion. Israel would have had energy independence had they held on to it.

    * More than 170 military installations

    * Dozens of early warning stations and strategic defense locations

    source: www.theisraelproject.org

If peace is the only requirement why Israel has kept East Jerusalem under its control despite UN demanding otherwise? Why Israel kept Gaza under its control for so long (till 2005). Why West Bank was under Israeli control if Israel wants only peace? Why it has kept Golan Heights under control. They can surely negotiate with Syria about it. Why Lebanon was attacked by Israel and why Phalangis where actively supported by Israel if Israel wants only peace.

These are question only that crops in my mind. It has nothing to do with supporting or opposing Israel.

  • Jews: Can you get a explanation?

If a Jew converts to other faith I know he is no longer considered Jewish. But does his lineage still continue to be that of a hebrew? for example 'Donmeh' they are not considered Jewish.

But will G-D consider them as Hebrews?

  • A question in Judaism (only for Jews)?

What will happen to Jews who are unaffiliated to any type of denomination? Some of them even question the existence of G-D, some don't even visit synagogue.

I want to know this eloquently about a final redemption and a world that will be driven by G-d and spirituality in the quest for divine knowledge rather than material pursuits. I want to know what will happen to most of the Jews today{of this generation) who are near totally non-observant and not committed to any mitzvahs or any of the Torah laws, what will happen to them if Moshiach were to come tonight?

'G-d will have mercy' is a simple answer I can expect but I need a good answer

I am a ger toshav in a learning process to become a ger tzaddek. I am just concerned what will occur if after becoming a Jew what would occur to me if due to any reasons or unforeseen consequences I fail in keeping the mitzvohs of the Torah as well as many natural jewish people.

  • I wanna Convert to Judaism in Bangalore, India?

    Shalom!

My name is Deepak & I come from hindu family background. I came to read bible through christian schools, although I was highly attracted to bible & true G-D for splitting of the red sea for the deliverance of Yis-Rael.

Instinctively I never liked to give any importance to other NT stuffs. But later I came to learn much about G-D[HaShem] and I have decided that this is the right religion.

I want to become the part of the tribe/religion/family.

You may say that be Bene Noach(Son of Noah) & follow the Noachide Laws[7 laws]. But I feel more drawn towards main stream Judaism.

Although my city as no synagogue there happens to be a local chabad[which I assume is for local/tourists to keep kosher] but I am refused repeatedly when I contact them[to seek help] on their www.chabad.org[where I got the mobile no of Rav:Tzvi Rikkin the chief of that particular chabad].

I am learning Hebrew as well.

Please provide me with some alternative options to contact any Jewish friends or Rabbi's in the city

Todah[Thanks] in advance for any good help
