Has UFC superseded the WWE?
I think that wrestling in general might seem behind the times because the UFC makes it look outdated more than anything else.
I mean, there was a time when wrestling was considered more brutal than the slower and more methodical boxing bouts.
But the UFC has now become more like real fighting is like (not too real) and some people might consider wrestling like a cartoon version of the UFC type of fighting.
What's your opinion on this? Has the WWE become antiquated and now the UFC replaced it in the hearts and minds of millions?
Sorry, my question was not about the business side of the UFC and WWE. It's about how the realistic fighting style of the UFC seems to attract a lot of ppl (including wrestling fans) to their camp. Mainly because UFC fighting is more exciting and "real" than what Wrestling offers. Just wanted to clear that up.

Definitely, as UFC is now more interesting, entertaining and less predictable than the WWE.

I believe the basis of the clash is the practically WWF-like surroundings that MMA presently has. I believe that conventional Martial Artists mourn for the respectfulness and ritual which were misplaced. Obviously all of us wish to be ready to battle simply in functional instances. Nobody will argue that. It's simply the screaming hype and promotional ballyhoo which might be colossal turnoffs for a few (as good as certainly being a colossal activate for lots of as good). Also, at the same time I do not watch plenty of MMA, from what I've obvious really a couple of combatants lack the stages of precision that conventional arts continually try for. Of path a lot of that may be chalked as much as the truth that it is an unpredictable combating atmosphere and so of path, a few procedure is misplaced for adaptability. I'm surely now not for inflexible combating in any respect. However, I can aid however believe that a few of it's as a result of combatants being rushed out the fitness center doorways with too little revel in, and I'm certain I'm now not on my own in that proposal.

I think professional wrestling was antiquated in the 50's, as it seems to belong in another era, maybe when traveling carnivals were the big form of entertainment. And I used to be a wrestling fan, at least until I reached the age of reason. Its just so damn stupid. Maybe the concept is a bit like a ballet, but they treat their fans like 2 year olds.
UFC is alright, harking back to the Greeks I guess, and there is something to be said about a clean physical encounter between two men. But the advertising and hype surrounding UFC is like everything else; of little substance and full of crap.

For many people who are really not that familiar with Pro Wrestling, yes.
For me? No. Once you have been slammed down in a ring, or looked inside the sport of Professional Wrestling - you know that it's a tough Business.
