What type of fabric would you use to make a broomstick skirt?
I love wearing these skirts to work, especially in the summer months. I do not sew, but a friend said she would make them for me if I bought the material. I just don't know what kind to get that will crinkle after washing and twisting up.

In addition to the suggestions already offered, consider Rayon. You'll need to find a lightly woven piece but when it's twisted and dried, the results can be dramatic.

Silky synthetics and lightweight silks also work well. See: http://www.costumes.org/classes/254pages/projects/... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQd2Az3sFA8
