Will an iphone work...?
This is probably a dumb question...
Cell phones do not work in my home at all. Zero bars. Nada. If I have to make an urgent phone call, I have to stand in one corner in my house, but the signal usually dies before the other person answers my call.
Let's say I got an iphone. I'm aware that I probably won't be able to use it for phone calls while at home, but does the zero bar factor mean the internet on the phone won't work either?
Just curious.
I do have a landline!

Yes. You need reception in order for the Internet to work - IF you are trying to download over your carrier's network.
However, if you have a wi-fi connection at home and can use that on your phone, then no, you will not need coverage as long as you are in range of your wi-fi connection.

In addition to what Dan said, you could get a cell phone repeater to increase your reception. If you have reception in 1 part of your house you could put the repeater there and then you'd have reception pretty much anywhere in your house.
