What is the best dog breed for me?

It needs to be a small dog that lives inside a small apartment, and that loses no hair (allergies). I can´t walk it very often and it would have to be alone for about 4-5 hs per day.

Any suggestions? Thanks! :-)

Update:

Hey, I said I can´t walk it A LOT but that doesn´t mean I can´t go out every day for a half hour or an hour with the dog! But I can´t go out 5 times a day, for an hour, that´s what i meant!!...Why are some people so agressive suggesting toy animals or the like? Thanks to everybody though who took the time to answer seriously.

a shih_tzu because their hair is almost like human hair, the don't shed and they are the best dog in the world.

also the are little foot warmers they love to cuddle they are so sweet, I also live in an apartment and I have 2 shih_tzu and I love them so much and you will too.

One, if you cant walk a dog very often I would suggest getting an older dog. Getting a puppy in a small apartment no matter how cute or furry or awesome is just cruel and just plan wrong. Adopting an older dog would be great because you would be saving an older dog from being put down. You don't have to deal with potty training because lets face it. It cant go for walks. They wont have too much energy and its personality will already be developed. I suggest a Poodle or a schnauzer. Both are wonderful dogs and while all dogs shed these breeds are going to shed less. I would NOT recommend a mix because they MIGHT end up with the genes of the shedding parent and not the genes of the NON SHEDDING parent. Many people do not understand this and many dogs end up at the shelter because of this. However, even older dogs will need to be walked. A cat sounds like it would be perfect for you, maybe even a Flemish giant rabbit (size of a large cat) They both make great pets and don't have to go on walks and can be litter trained and depending on the breed they can be non hurtful to your allergies.

Miniature poodle they don't shed. But you're prob better off with a sphynx cat they're hairless and cats tend to like they're own company so wont mind if you're out all day, just as long as they've got food and water

Get a cat. Or a rabbit or something you won't havve to walk and is basically self sufficient. It sounds like you won't have a lot of time to spend with a dog, which is unfair to the dog.
