How many of you know that the Reagan administration offered a bribe to Senator S.I.Hayakawa?
Yes, you heard right. The Reagan administration suggested that if he drop out of the crowded Republican primary race in California, President Reagan would find him a job. That was in 1981.
"I'm not interested", said the 75-year-old Hayakawa. "I do not want an administrative post."
Polls in California showed Hayakawa trailing behind other candidates seeking the GOP senate nomination in the next years primary election.
Among the Republicans seeking Hayakawa's seat were Rep.Barry Goldwater Jr.,R-Calif., Maureen Reagan, the former President's daughter and San Diego Mayor Pete Wilson.
Ed Rollins, who became President Reagan's chief political adviser in January of 1982 said at the time, "Hayakawa would be offered an administration post if he decided not to seek re-election, but that no offer had been made to him directly."
Hayakawa in response said,"I have not contacted the White House in regard to any administration or ambassadorial post, and they have not been in contact with me."
Hayakawa was elected to the senate in 1976,upsetting the Democrat incumbent John Tunney.
All of this was reported on November 26, 1981 in the Washington Post newspaper.
Edit: Here is the Federal Bribery Statute right here. Read it for yourself and don't go on what Hannity, Beck,Limbaugh and O'Reilly say. They are not lawyers.

As much as I and the majority of Americans want to see Obama impeached and thrown in Jail because remember what he said 2 days into the White House when he had to reopen the water boarding " NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW" do you remember him saying that?? I do and I hope something big comes out of this but unfortunately they will cover this up just like they cover everything else up... but I do believe that in time before is term is up something else bigger will show up on him and he will be impeached!

You can dream, but you need evidence and that's going to be impossible no matter how hard Fox et al dig. Nice try though.

If he committed an impeachable offense, yes you can. But tell us what impeachable offense he committted. Bet you couldn't. You just don't like him because he's black. Now, being black is NOT an impeachable offense.
