I think the republicans will take the house and come close in the senate. I'll list you the reasons why i think this.

1 Since the democrats took over congress in 2007 Pelosi/Reid has added 4.3 trillion to our national debt in little over 3 years.

2 They passed 787 billion dollar waste of tax payers money on a stimulus that has failed. To back this up Obama asked for 80 billion for a jobs bill 11 months after the stimulus. Congress did pass a 15 billion dollar jobs bill, 65 billion short of the 80 billion Obama wanted.

3 The Unconstitutional health care reform law that 70% of Americans was against. The 500 billion cut to medicare and the unconstitutional mandate on forcing people to buy insurance. Why was student loans included in the health care reform fixes.

4 Why didn't the democrats put freddie and fannie in the new financial reform Package. Fannie and freddie still has unlimited tax payers money at hand.

5 Obama and the democrats taking shots at Arizona on their new immigration law and never read the law. Lets also add Obama and the president of Mexico taking shots together at Arizona. While the president of Mexico stood in front of congress taking more shots at Arizona and the democrats clapping.

6 The oil spill in the Gulf, The Obama administration hasn't done much to help things out but they have more important things to do like taking shots at Arizona's immigration law.

7 What about the scandal in the white house that want go away any time soon. Obama said the white house will release a statement soon. If no laws was broke why didn't he come out and explain what was said.

8 Congress is getting ready to pass a 200 billion dollar bailout to unions.

Remember Obama and the democrats don't like the majority of Americans, just look at the 70% that was against health care reform and 70% of the people in Arizona that supports their new immigration law and 60% nation wide.

Source(s): Obama's approval rating 42% and sinking, move over titanic.

If the GOP doesn't retake the House it will certainly narrow the Democrat lead, which will make passing legislation a slower process. There should also be some gains in the Senate.

Obama's greatest failing in my opinion has been a lack of candor. The economy is not easy to fix and the President can't do it--at least not alone. Growing the government is a counterproductive approach and that is what he has done. Unfortunately what has happened in government has not worked.

It is my opinion that Obama is a tool for other entities or people who want to turn the U.S. into a socialist country. They want us to be more like Europe. Unfortunately, most of Europe is in worse economic shape than we are. Defeating Obama in 2012 will be a step in the right direction, but these entities, one of whom is George Soros, will have to be neutralized to completely correct the nation's course.

I don't believe Obama is a bad person. I believe he is too socialistic to be President and I hope the GOP is smart enough to find a candidate who is grounded in the principles which have made the U.S. successful in the past. Changes in the Legislative branch are also needed.

Health care reform hasn't exactly been rushed. We are four years away from seeing anyone benefiting from it, but the costs will kick in this year. Unbelievable.

Check out the Obameter on politico.com and you will discover that President Obama has actually KEPT or has IN THE WORKS more promises than any other president or politician in recent history.

The Republican party will NOT re-take control of the House in November---they are the party of campaign-bribes (er..."donations") from big oil, insurance lobbyists, bankers, Wall Street, and the pharmaceutical industry to BLOCK reforms. The GOP is the party of "No" to every single thing this nation needs to HEAL from their totalitarian idiocies from 2001 through 2007. The Democrats are busy GETTING 'ER DONE for the American people, including the Credit CARD Act that passed in 2009 (bet you didn't remember that one, did you?) which bans predatory fees, requires credit card companies to apply any extra paid by the consumer to the HIGHEST-interest portion of the bill, and eliminates shady billing practices (see whitehouse.gov and click on Issues). In fact, while you visit the whitehouse.gov page, just take a gander at all of the achievements for the Democrats and our President Obama that serve the American people for a change instead of the fatcat greedygut corporate leaders that represent the GOP base. Democrats are going to GAIN seats in both the House and the Senate, and the astroturf-monster that the GOP created via Faux News, the Tea Potty (a.k.a., teabagging evangelicals) will continue to bite their creator in the behind this election year, defeating Republican incumbents with their own brand of psycho-pseudo-"conservative" nutjobs, like Rand Paul or the chicken-for-the-doctor's-payment lady in Nevada.

I do believe that the house and senate will be more equal then they are now. But I think that a lot of incumbents are going to loose out regardless of their party. I think that it just might make the new congress and senate think twice before going against the majority of American people and what they want. I think it is time to get some of those incumbents out so we can have some fresh ideas and new approaches to unsolved problems.

Republicans will gain, the party out of power always does in an off-year election. But as things now stand, I don't see any signs of a Republican stampede, there's some disappointment in the Dems but people haven't forgotten the Bush years and the tea partiers are electing candidates who can't win in the general election. The one race so far was decided for the Dems.

The polls this week say that a conventional Republican beats Obama for the presidency and that a conventional Republican beats a conventional Democrat in a great number of the living house/senate races. Draw your human being conclusions. yet carry out slightly math as you do. sure, maximum of Obama voters nevertheless help him, yet large numbers - including me - will vote for virtually all people else next time, and are in throw-the-bums out mood only as a lot as we were in 2008. A pollI examine the former day suggested that communities that carried Obama intense contained in the election - adult adult males, whites, independents, between them - have lengthy previous from something like 50% help for Obama to something like 30% help. And that for this reason he lands up dropping by technique of a percentage aspect or 2 to a conventional Republican. options you, if he declines to run for a 2d time period, i am going to have an open options about vote casting for Democrats who have not been part of the present administration. (I.e., i'm no longer vote casting for Clinton back in primaries or a commonplace election). they are only polls, and persons ought to imagine very in a unique way in some months or in a pair of years. notwithstanding the traits of the polls ought to provide me self belief if I were a Republican.

I wonder why republicans don't seem to wake up & see that thanks to the internet they have no chance anymore. Every time there is some election they say they won this or that but anyone who looks at the facts can see that is not the whole picture & that real picture is bleak for them. Even whent he numbers are not showing the truth & making them look silly it is obvious that the people who say they are republicans are still helping the dems. So why do reps. think that the name matters if the results are the dems get what they want. Rasmussen polls are so funny. They had reps. on this site so excited about the Pres. election & they just knew that McCain had one. Yet, reps. still believe them. Even Obams says it is not uncommon that your prediction would come true. This is rather typical but I see what the 2 parties do with their time. Reps are sending out e-mails as if they are bratty children cause I have a friend who sends them to me. Whiled dems are busy at work getting things done for this country...I say dems will win even though that is not typically what happens at this time.
