What is your interpretation of the passage...?

There is a passage in The Bible that seems (to me anyway) to warn against marrying someone of a different race. I am a Baptist. I am also a "White" woman in a relationship with a "Hispanic" man. I'm not sure of the exact verse or even book the passage I mentioned is in, if you know would you please post? I'd really like to hear some opinions...

    The Bible consistently warns against marrying someone of a different belief system because that can lead a person to fall away from their faith. It isn't about "race" it's about faith.

    2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?

    Colossians 3:11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

    There are warnings about Jews marrying/converting people of certain nations in the books of the Torah. Since you are not a Jew, it would not apply. I cannot speak to the Nu? Testament.

    There are many dispersions against mixing certain things (linnen and wool, meat and milk). I guess, in a gemaric argument, you could argue this (but you would not be sucessful) as a point.

    2 Corinthians 6:14 (King James Version) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

    1 Corinthians 15:33 (New International Version) Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character."

    1 Corinthians 12:13 (King James Version) For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

    I'm not familiar wit that one. There is only one race of man, but many ethnic people of different nations.

    Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

    In ancient times Old Testament scripture wanted Hebrews to marry inside the faith, so to speak. That along with many OT regs have been abandoned. God is a transforming God and we have evolved with changing society.

    there are no such passages, anyone that say's there is, make them prove it, but it can't be done. we are all human beings. people that believe this are normally racist, and know nothing about true Christianity. your love for your partner is all that matters. support him and he will support you, and in return God will support both of you. god bless

    all that God cares about is the love the two share, not their color.

    there is no such verse, and all are of the human race.
